TDi North and BTCC

As from the 3rd August and for the rest of the 2013 BTCC calendar, 5 rounds, 15 races, we will be having an involvement with one of the cars in the top domestic level of British Motorsport.

We have been approached following on from our successes at other events and our affiliation with Honda's over the years. The team behind getting the car on the line are very keen to have us involved, not only at the events but also with long term projects, which may well mean parts and products becoming available to end users which, in the past, have been exclusive to the race teams.

The car in question is Gordon Shedden's old S2000 FN2 BTCC car, with which Matt Neal won the driver drivers championship and also his third BTCC crown in 2011.

It has had several upgrades since the 2011 season and during testing last week Matt said that it felt better than ever before, so we have high hopes of being able to push into the top half of the field.

The car is being driven by James Kaye, who has a long history of driving for Honda and it is being run by the AMD team who have switched from the S2000 Golf, which they have campaigned in previous years and have already taken several class wins in the first half of the season.

This is a major step for us as all the work and effort we have put into building TDi North to where it is today, the endeavour and dedication shown by the team to create some truly outstanding cars. They regularly get featured in magazines, there are concourse cars and stars of shows, as well as competing at numerous events across the country, picking up race wins and braking records at the highest level.

Massive thanks to Andy Barnes at Kleers, who sponsor the car, Shaun Hollamby at AMD and James Kaye for having faith in our abilities.
